With the optional GridPilot AI upgrade (included in the AI and Gold plans) and full Sigen Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) support, your strategy extends across both your home battery and your EV. GridPilot reacts in real time to wholesale price spikes and dips, exporting when prices are high, charging when prices are low or negative, and protecting your reserves when it matters – always according to rules you set.

The Smart Motion GridPilot Power Plant is a user-controlled energy trading platform designed to outperform traditional VPPs by putting decision-making back where it belongs: in your home.
Most VPPs prioritise the retailer or grid operator. GridPilot prioritises your returns. There are no fixed schedules, no opaque algorithms, and no loss of control. You actively define how your solar, battery, and V2G-enabled EV participate in the wholesale market with providers like Amber Electric and LocalVolts (Smart Motion is a LocalVolts partner).
You set price thresholds, export limits, minimum reserves, charging windows, and risk tolerance. GridPilot then combines live wholesale pricing, real-time household load, and predictive solar modelling to automatically trade energy on your behalf—capturing high prices, avoiding negative export penalties, and maximising the value of every stored kilowatt-hour.
